WAnywhere Linux Agent Build Installation

  1. Go to the folder “Downloads” or the location where the downloaded files are saved.
  2. The User can install the application with the below command.

    3. sudo dpkg -i your-app_x.x.x_amd64.deb

  3. If the application need any required package this command handles missing packages.

    4. run the command- "sudo apt-get install -f"

  4. Click your user icon.
  5. Before entering the password, look for a gear icon ⚙️ or session menu in the lower-right corner or near the "Sign In" button.
  6. Click it and select:
    1. "GNOME on Xorg" or
    2. "Ubuntu on Xorg" (on Ubuntu)
    7. Microsoft Defender Smart screen
  7. Now enter your password and log in.
    1. To Verify X11 Session
    2. After logging in, open a terminal and run: echo $XDG_SESSION_TYPE
    3. You should now see: x11

  8. Logout Process:
    1. To Logout, the user must click on the Power Button icon and click on the “Logout”
