Overview

wAnywhere Mac Agent build installation

Install the agent from a .dmg package in minutes — download, copy to Applications, and launch.

Download the .dmg file
1. Get the .dmg from the official website or a trusted source.
2. The file will usually appear in your Downloads folder.

Open the .dmg file
1. Double-click the .dmg file.
2. A virtual disk mounts on your Desktop or appears in the Finder sidebar.
Drag the application to the Applications folder
1. A window usually opens showing the app icon and an Applications folder shortcut.
2. Drag and drop the app icon into the Applications folder.
3. This copies the app to your Applications directory.
Eject the .dmg
1. Right-click the mounted disk on your Desktop or Finder sidebar → Eject.
2. You can also press the eject button next to it in Finder.

Run the application
1. Go to Applications, find the app, and double-click it.
2. On first launch, macOS may show a security prompt.
Gatekeeper: If blocked, open System Settings → Privacy & Security → General and choose Open Anyway (or Allow Anyway on older macOS).
1. If asked, click Open.
2. If blocked, use System Preferences → Security & Privacy → General → Allow Anyway on macOS Monterey and earlier.
(Optional) Delete the .dmg file
1. After installation, you no longer need the .dmg.
2. You may safely delete it to free up space.
